I didn't want to say it, but it was reminiscent of the Juggernaut thread we miss so much.

Thanks for the positive comments! I was just pulled away from the fun car project to replace a leaking heater core in my Jeep Liberty. UGH, what an ordeal that was!

Is it as bad as it was when I did the wife's Envoy?

Of course the HVAC box got blown apart to get to the damned thing. I'm still scarred by what an asspain this was. My money is on yours being just as bad.

Oh Yeah! Pretty much the same. I will have nightmares of doing this. I had it bypassed during the summer but its getting cold here and driving with no heat is not fun.

I just back flushed my wife's heater core in her Taurus this morning, and was lucky enough that it worked out. I do have a new heater core standing by, just in case.

If OP's is like mine was, backflushing will be of no use.

That looks nasty, so far, no indication that mine is leaking. I think it was mostly plugged, it took forever to even get warmth, let alone any real heat. So far, it seems to be getting hot now, but I have a new core in case I need it later in the season.

Little bit of an update. I got in the rear end housing bushings and the Spohn upper and lower control arms with the Del-Sphere pivot joints. The lowers are for a G-Body but the upper are for an A-Body as the A-Body uses 1" shorter upper arms which will compensate for the 8.8 housing ears being a bit closer to the front of the car. Not absolutely necessary but that's the way I went.

Even though both the upper and lower arms have Del-Sphere pivot joints, I checked where the uppers actually liked to be when straight and knocked in the bushings to that point.

I had a set of UMI control arm mount reinforcements that I had ordered a while ago before I decided to box them in. I figured why not install them anyways. They were pretty close to the factory braces so I basically took a large socket and indented them a touch.

It's really nice using adjustable arms to dial in your wheelbase and pinion angle.

It's finally starting to resemble a chassis....

I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I do most of the time. More to come soon!
