hello people; This is not a monkey rigged thing but the original owner had a phone in the center console. Not like the ones you have now and not wireless. A hole had to be cut in the console to accept a cabe that routed to the rear deck lid antenna. There must of been 10 ft of cable and the hole for the antenna is still there. They have these flat plugs to cover holes like this and that's what I did.

Not a g body, but I saw this on the road today and had to take a picture-

For some reason this came mind early this morning, when I tore down my first olds 350 after it spun a rod bearing, I noticed some thing odd. half the pistons were stock for a 77-80 engine, the others looked like they were from a 73-76  . Funny thing is that engine ran great  . I wish I took pictures of that.

*For those that don't know, 73-76 engines used an almost flat top piston, 77-80 they went to a quite a deep dished piston.

I'm guilty of this one. Did it yesterday:

That's right, catalytic converter AFTER the muffler. If I saw it on the street on someone else's car I'd think they were an idiot. I had to do it on my VW to get through DEQ and it worked. I blew near zeros. A previous owner had removed the US-spec exhaust system and installed a free-flowing Euro-spec system that had no provision for a cat. Actually, I got the idea from a Porsche forum so I didn't feel so bad. Now I can bolt the original tailpipe back on so the cat doesn't get stolen.

I have two I think we're pretty bad the first was a 78 jeep I bought. The driver seat had three bolts in it two of wich were a soft bolt dropped thru the factory threads in the floor with collars from a weight set scrwed on in place of a nut. The bolt bottomed out without even getting tight. The seat being loose is why looked. This was the point I realized I probably shouldn't have bought it, but I was only 18 and was only thinking about what I wanted , not kinda shape it was actually in.
The other was a 64 Malibu that my buddies put 455 Buick in. Yea, they cut down a stop sighn post in front of the garage, and used it for motor mount.i don't know how they past tech. Inspection. That's right they drag raced it. Oh I forgot they used 2x4's to mount the seat. They spray painted the boards black so the tech inspector wouldn't noticed. These fools lived thru there childhood and reproduced. You might want to be carefull who you let your kids ride with. Lol

How bout I just say everything that wasn't rigged when I got my Cutty........... oh wait, that's not gonna work. Sadly this car was slowly but surely being driven/"repaired and customized" into the ground.

Is that a tube patch?

Yup, tube patch on the outside of the sidewall, doesn't get much more monkey rigged than that for tires, can't believe it was holding.
