for me, performance 1st.....pro touring style with a cross of donk style mixed in. pro touring aspect would be EFI, upgraded brakes and beefed up drivetrain. my donk stuff would be real clean candy paint without a theme, no billboards here. chrome rims, and speakers in the trunk aka beat and dakota digital gauges ftw!

What you described there bro, is pure "pro touring" as it entails all of the above. Example: upgraded performance for strip including engine, drivetrain, brakes; upgraded looks ie. paint, interior; upgraded sound ie. subwoofers, video; upgraded suspension which could be performance or air ride etc..

The categories here should be adjusted IMO like this:

Lowrider
Donk
Pro Street
Pro Touring

I think Pro Touring is the best because it's the best from all categories (keyword BEST here lol).

I would almost be willing to bet that if you took a count, and kept track of all the categories you can think of, you come out darn near even with them all. You have:Original, or restored to original, original but slightly modified body panels and/or suspension, low riders, donks, street/strip, and pretty much full out drag cars. Sorry if I missed anything, but I'm getting old.

i know theres so many different forms of upgrading but i like the way 454muscle suggested
lowrider
donk
pro street
pro touring.

I felt as if these forms of upgrading and what not actualy show what way peopel prefer to present them selves. 454muscle for example (hope ya dont mind me using you) made his own body kit and made his car his own which i like alot becasue it makes it as unique as he wants it to be. Stuff like that is what i woudl like to see more of that it shows a new level of deidcation to the vehicle IMO. If im wrong please correct me 454 muscle

Totaly awsome how this topic grew real fast!

That's the Beauty of a G-Body. So many different styles to pick from.

Low Rider - Monte Carlo Luxury Sport on 13" wires

Track - Malibu 2 door would be my choice.

Street: Monte Carlo SS or El Camino on 22" IROCs or 22" staggered 3 piece wheels with nice paint and audio. You'll look good, sound good and go FAST. With a nice SBC of LS set up. Beefed up suspension and rear.

Day2 mods which keep the car stock "looking" with better brakes, 300+ hp under the hood with a trans to match & bigger tires on GM rims gets my vote.

^^this. or lowrider. i dont like the "pro street" look.

454 what you said is 100% right all the way about my post its pro touring for sure until they see my rims and give me all the sh*t in the world about 24's. so thats why i said donk mixed in. from the pro touring world you cant ride anything bigger than 20's or its a sin. all the stuff they think/say has never stopped me and it never will. 454 im just like you, i build my cars the way i want and dont care what anyone thinks although i appreciate all positive feedback i receive on my rides.

Thanks for the compliments and yes, you are right. The build required more patience and dedication than I actually have, it's driven me nuts for a while there. I guess in the back of my mind, being unique has always been one of the driving factors of my build. Just have thoughts of people seeing it and mistaking it for a Monte (happens all the time) or they say something like "Whoa... WTF is THAT" or the group of teenagers who catch a glimpse of the car and make their way over going "Holy crap man" and "Daaaaamn" and "Souuuuuuped UP" or the entire school bus full of kids getting off their seats while the bus is MOVING mind you, to get to the side window in order to all give me a thumbs up -- yes, these are all actual events, there are others but it would require a whole new thread lol.

thoes are great stories. I hope when i do up my 84 it looks half as sweet i know the color is unique at least lol i love but most people see it and :puke:
