Easier than with the engine in but can be done with the engine in without too much difficulty. The upside of the Jeep shaft is that it eliminates the rag joint, thereby tightening up the steering feel and giving more clearance for headers.

You have to slightly enlarge the groove at the base of the steering column so the pinch bolt will go through.

ordered the jeep shaft, waiting for that to come, gas tank got delivered today, dropped my old tank out of the car (literally the easiest gas tank ive ever done, I did it as one person (normally need help to drop a tank down , someone else has to help u lower it)

tank was rusting from the inside out.

So I am picking up the heads on friday, will be starting to assemble that portion of the engine on the weekend, then measuring push rod length and getting the push rods, when that is complete will assemble the rest of the engine (minus the carb) before I swap it in,

I will also be changing the steering shaft to the jeep one before I swap the motor in.

I have the new gas tank just waiting for the weather to break so I can swap it in and pre-wire the attometer gauge (going to have lead wires hanging down from tank sender), also going to install the holley fuel pump and run new fuel line from the tank to pump and pump to reg, then probably use one of the jegs/summit regulator to carb braided kits since it will look much nicer.

I am very torn on what kind of wheels I Will be running, I really like the chrome IROC replicas but I am also considering a race style wheel so I am not sure yet on that.
