cleaned the block up today hoping to get the heads by next week...

What did you have done to the heads?
243 vette heads ported and milled down to bring the compression back up, .660 btr dual valve springs, retainers, ,etc; usual stuff think the .660 springs are going to be shimmed a little since my cam lift is only .595/.598

absolutely nothing new... he said the heads will be ready this week... I just picked up a 3m rust and paint remover wheel that u put in the drill , going to use that on the bottom portion (facing the ground) of the frame when I get it back on the lift and remove the undercoating paint thats left and paint that portion of the frame (technically can even do it when the motor is in)

I need to still do the trunion kit on the rocker arms.

pretty much thats it once I get the heads I can install them, install the intake manifold, start dressing the motor with accessories and then once the motor is in I can run the fuel line, fuel pump, regulator, install carb etc; I actually need to drop the tank to flush it out and I probably can do that on the ground (rolling the car in and out of the shop to put it on the lift is a real PITA)
