Got a little more done. Managed to get the fenders mounted and aligned. I tried cleaning the inner fenders but could not get satisfied with them. So I painted them. I used spray can truck bed liner and I'm pretty happy with the results.


Then I started work on making my core support.




More pics to come when I get it finished.

Doesn't look like I got a whole lot more done but I got a lot of little things done.
I finished the core support and mounted the radiator/fans and transmission cooler.

Hard to tell but I also got the power steering reservoir mounted and the lines made.


I also started on a plate to hold a fuse box and relays. Still not sure if I like it or not. It also has the regulator mounted to it and the fuel lines are finished.

I see you've gone back to a normally aspirated intake.
 
Thanks Jack. I switched over to a blow though setup instead of the old roots style blower. I'm trying to get it all under a flat hood now.

Using aluminum L for the core support looks pretty slick. Roughly how much material did you use for the whole support?

Eight feet if the 2x2 angle, and five feet of the 1x1 box tubing.

Haven't done all my wiring yet but has just enough to run. Need to use the garage for another project. So enjoy a short video of it running.

 
Been away for over a year again! I'll try to catch this up the best I can. I ran in to a problem with a fuel leak that ended up being one of the well plugs in the metering block had gotten pushed out. The guys at Horsepower Innovations were awesome in helping me get that fixed. The replaced it and sent me extras at no cost, and that's with the carb being over a year old.
After that was fixed I had issues with the fuel pressure falling off after short run times. That ended up being my fault by putting the feed and return lines on backwards. After that it was starting to run better, although I wasn't impressed with the power output. Well before I could do much tuning, I spun a rod bearing.
 
That brings us to the next engine build. At this point I really should have just went LSx, but I couldn't get past what I just spent on brackets and accessories for the old small block. Since I was trying to get it all done and to the track as quick as possible I went with new block from summit. Along with a forged rotating assembly. And the compression comes in at 10.6:1!
