Looks like the one you need is Pioneer CA-1930.

The one you show looks like unit for TH250C/350C, which is a "Kick Down" cable.

What is confusing is they will both list as "Detent Cable", but the two are not the same.

Pioneer CA-1937 you mention looks like ok.

But check, make sure whomever you talk with understands 5.0 Liter Vin Y Olds 307, and not Vin H Chevy 305. Both get listed as 5.0 Liter V8.

Also make sure selection is for TH200C and not TH2004R. They might be the same, not sure at this moment. One was about 3 to 4 inches longer.

On the pic of the one I sent you, skip that one. It's the "universal" repair cable and you need the one with the black plastic clip. I didn't catch that in the pic.

Try the CA-1937 it Lists as matching 1985/...Cutlass. Seeing that you pulled up the CA-1937, try that one first. Listing shows it as 35 3/8 inch, the CA-1930 is much longer at 51 inch.

It's amazing how much bad Intel on internet. The button style connector on the throttle mechanism will work with either type, but yours needs the black plastic clip, as you describe as "teardrop". The slotted style is for the TH250/TH350 kick down.

When you set yours up, you need full travel (100%) at about 90% of full throttle.

GM p/n is 25508262 for your cable you seek. It's called a Throttle Valve Cable, or TV Cable for short. It is NOT a kickdown cable as mentioned.

Aftermarket equivalents seem to show ATP's Y-314 and CA-1937. So it appears you're on the right track. But then you have to adjust it correctly. What's fun is hooking it in the transmission attachment. You can do it without pulling the pan, but it's another one of those if you want to do it absolutely textbook right, you'll have to check the Throttle Valve in the transmission and ensure it's in the right position...blah blah.

EDIT: Oh, and be gentle with the hold down bolt on the transmission end. DON'T cross thread/strip the hole as it's directly into the case. The seal is GM p/n 25518260 if you need a new seal down there.

Here's the adjustment procedure for your new cable. ENSURE you only use the throttle by hand doing this and not the gas pedal from inside the car...
