Are you sure it's a th200c? Maybe it's a th350. Th350 has 13 bolt pan. 200 has 11.
It's a head scratcher. If it's still factory there were only two choices in 1985 for the Cutlass body line. 200 or 4R. The 4R was available only in the 442 or diesel in 1985, so it's a 200 or it got changed. And both used a TV cable.Improbable that a throttle valve transmission would last without the throttle valve cable connected for a long period. Likely it is a TH250c not a TH200c is installed, the TH250c uses a kickdown cable not a throttle valve cable.
GM p/n is 25508262 for your cable you seek. It's called a Throttle Valve Cable, or TV Cable for short. It is NOT a kickdown cable as mentioned.
Aftermarket equivalents seem to show ATP's Y-314 and CA-1937. So it appears you're on the right track. But then you have to adjust it correctly. What's fun is hooking it in the transmission attachment. You can do it without pulling the pan, but it's another one of those if you want to do it absolutely textbook right, you'll have to check the Throttle Valve in the transmission and ensure it's in the right position...blah blah.
EDIT: Oh, and be gentle with the hold down bolt on the transmission end. DON'T cross thread/strip the hole as it's directly into the case. The seal is GM p/n 25518260 if you need a new seal down there.
Here's the adjustment procedure for your new cable. ENSURE you only use the throttle by hand doing this and not the gas pedal from inside the car...
Thank you so much I appreciate the information that's why I was so confused because I couldn't find a tv cable it's they call it a kick down detent cable even in my manual is described as a kick down cable I ordered ca1937 should be here tomorrowGM p/n is 25508262 for your cable you seek. I will be crawling under it tomorrow to put the cable on I will take a picture then I live in Spokane WA and it's raining outside do my driveway has turned into a lake. But I do have another question is a 200c and a 250 have interchangeable filters because last summer I took the pan off replaced the fluid and out new filter on and I used filter for 200cIt's a head scratcher. 200C uses GM p/n 8638960 for filter kit with a little triangle shaped gasket. Filter sucks from bottom. Filter shown shows bottom and top sides. Note the difference in bolt hole count for the gasket as well.I will be crawling under it tomorrow to put the cable on I will take a picture then I live in Spokane WA and it's raining outside do my driveway has turned into a lake. Ok curiosity was killing me so I took a yard stick and taped my phone to it I was able to record a video and draw the transmission pan that is on my car200C uses GM p/n 8638960 for filter kit with a little triangle shaped gasket. 250C uses GM p/n 6258504 for what they call a "screen kit". The gasket on the 250C isn't a triangle shape. Filter sucks from top.

So now my question is how to tell if it's a th250 or a th350? and I will be dropping the pan just to make sure proper filter is on transmission before driving car again. And also does a kickdown cable enhance performance at all?Ok curiosity was killing me so I took a yard stick and taped my phone to it I was able to record a video and draw the transmission pan that is on my car
