he made this list on the back of an envelope-he got the corona check, flipped the envelope over and made this list before anyone knew what happened...
;)
I wish that were true buddy! Been running the list in my noodle the last few days, it was easier to write it down.
On another note, the stupid software for unemployment here is jacked up and the wife still hasn't been approved to get paid!!!! Her 1st check is supposed to come this Thursday, and so far I can't get through via calls, email, no visits allowed, etc! 😡

Haha, have that exact listing saved.

I forgot to mention, I do have a brand new Richmond 3:73 gear set, and pretty much a complete install kit. Just looking at dropping the rpms on the highway, but with the 80E I might be alright.

This is the answer I was needing. I saw there posi and gear sets but didn't have any branding on them. I've heard bad things about the Yukon posi units, but could be operator error as well. Streetbu has a truetrac and said it's super quiet and nice.
Are you running the Yukon posi in your 2+2?

They have 3 brands
1 is a cheap import that has yellow springs, I think that's the normal one in the $500 kit.

1 is a Yukon, it has purple springs. It's $280 on eBay and $380 in their online store I think. If you buy it on eBay it just didn't come in a Yukon box and they charge less for it. I don't know the logic behind that.

The top tier $480 is the eaton.

I've had good luck with the yukon. It's on my 2+2 yeah. I blew up a stock govlock, snapped a 30 spline axle, and twisted a eBay 1450 slip yoke but the Yukon posi, stock 3.73 gearset and OE American axle mfg 1450 input yoke (factory for a h2 Hummer) have held in.

Pa is no better. I reopened my claim on 3/30. Got a confirmation letter. Went on line Sunday to claim for the two weeks. They said I don’t have an open claim. Spent ALL DAY today speed dialing ( atleast 1,500 times) and never got more than a busy signal. Gotta wait till noon on Wednesday to try again.

Went on a rearend parts spending spree this morning lol. Got the Moser axles ordered, forged 1350 yoke, new C clips, and picked up some wheel studs at Autozone. I know it was mentioned the Dorman studs are iffy, but after looking them over I'm content with the purchase. They're actually made in the USA, and Turna recommended ones designated for a Hummer that are about 1/2" longer than stock. That should give full thread engagement with the lugnuts.
I might order the diff cover tomorrow, gotta check the funds to be sure. As much as I wanna blow some stimulus loot, the wife hasn't got paid in 3 weeks so we gotta play it safe, or I'd order the limited slip tomorrow too.

My thoughts are. Why not finish the other projects on the car first? Enjoy it for the summer. Shop around for good deals. Rebuild it this winter. If it blows up, who cares you are replacing everything anyways. I would call Doug at Quick Performances and see what kind of package and deals he will give you. Prices get cheaper with him if you buy a bunch of stuff. He was one of my belated fathers friends and it is a half hour away from my house so that helps in my defense, but I don't like him personally.

Yeah Zach, I actually talked to him this morning. Seemed like a nice guy on the phone, but he is in the business to make money so his phone etiquette should be on point.
I ordered one of their forged 1350 pinion yokes, and might order the diff cover from them too. I have new gears so that helps, just need the limited slip.
Funny thing is, there isn't many big purchases left for the car in it's current state. Still awaiting on the world to open up so I can get my door panels. I have the money allocated for them already, so I'm trying to check things off the list.

Truth is, the guts in this rearend are a ticking time bomb. When I first bought the 8.5 it had a bent axle and the shop nor I knew until I hit the road. I drove like that for a couple days, so it did ever so slightly mess up the powertrax locker, I just have to be gentle on it for now.
The shop that's gonna do my alignment might do the rearend rebuild too. It would be easier to knock it out at once.
