Chris,i met a member from Malibu racing @a car show years back that did that.think it was "bigada". he used the monte doors and said he "added" a body line to the 1/4's.it was white with orange stripes.
Actually, after looking at your pictures it looks like you do have a Choo Choo SS. The Monte has the fender lines that run above the wheel well and into the doors. Still a very nice looking car, and if it's an actual Choo Choo its probably worth much more than the monte conversions.Hi. Just recently bought an 81 Elky with a 85 Monte Carlo nose. Will probably be asking a lot of questions.
Very nice!Nice! Cool to see another Elco with the Monte SS front end. My grandpa built mine back in the day. Welcome to the forum. I've found a ton of great info on here. It's been a long time since I replaced my headlights, but if you have any questions let me know. I'm sure the Monte guys will chime in too.
Monte Carlo fenders have a straight up and down edge where they meet the nose, Malibu/Elco fenders have a sloping edgeActually, after looking at your pictures it looks like you do have a Choo Choo SS. Another note would be the location of the side markers, MC's are lower as Elky's are higher/almost in the middle of the fenders leading edge.Monte Carlo fenders have a straight up and down edge where they meet the nose, Malibu/Elco fenders have a sloping edge
