Couldn't wait. Just finished the floor. ✔ I bartered with the neighbor again. He had five boxes of LVT leftover, and needs his rear brakes replaced. He'll buy the parts. I had to buy four more boxes to have enough to finish. Saved me a chunk of change though, especially at $3.59/sqft.

Looks good, and you're getting practice. We'll be able to offer accommodations for a small getaway in the nice weather for you to do some work here at this rate. Work your lodging bill off as it were....
Hey I'd do that if you lived in Key West! LOL

Bought an insulated garage door with our Biden bucks. Sooooo much nicer in the garage now! Much quieter too. Should make it easier to heat during the winter and if we have a summer like last year, I might throw an a/c unit back in the window again...

Before.

Been dying for a hot tub but just can't swing that much for something I don't know for sure we'll use that much. So I've been searching for a used one that could work. Most were either very old and ugly, over priced, or hard to remove from the sellers house.
Finally found one I could back a trailer right up to, that was cheap, and hopefully doesn't need much work. (Fingers crossed)

Spent $250 on it, got a couple of friends to help me move it. Took 1.5 hours from our house to the seller's, and back to ours and put in place. Now I have to save for the electric wire. 6/3 wire is expensive and I need about 75' of it. 😯

At the seller's place.

I'd have given you a rusty pickup truck bed for free. Just add a $5 drop cloth and a fish aerator and you'd be set. 😜

Just kidding though, nice addition and looks to be a good pickup. If you decide you like it you can always upgrade.

strange side story, I've heard that if a doctor prescribes it for some type of therapy that a health plan will pick up the tab sometimes if it's targeted towards a smaller unit and not like an 8 person job. I'd like to attempt that loophole one day.

That hot tub setup is almost to a T how a friend of mine had his setup on his under-deck slab. Survived in light rain and no hot sun (here in the south). One word of warning...

We would sit in the tub on the little formed seats and watch baseball games on the TV all the while drinking beers. He would crank it down to about a 99 degree setpoint so as not to steam cook us, but after about 45 minutes to an hour of that, I could hardly move to get out of the tub to take a leak. I swear. My arms and legs felt like they weighed 100 lbs each. But relaxed? Oh...yeah.
