How high is that fender from the top of the tire?

I am thinking the 9" wide rim with 5"+ back spacing will put the rim awful close to the frame.
Exactly. What f'n genius thought that would be a great idea to have an Olds style rim not fit on a car without notching or spacers, or whatever? They could easily cut them with a couple of different B/S options. Or even widths. Brain surgeon.

One of reason I was looking at the Foose wheels was the different options in B/S and wheel size.

I'm not a fan, I like the stepped rim look and they don't offer chrome.
I'd rather pony up $3k for a set of 17" US Mags, currently looking for a set for my '88 since I swapped them out to my '85 442 and I am leaning towards these with an argent center and red stripe like the 83 H/O kinda like Gary Willards design.
I believe US Mags purchased Gary's design and had to step it back a little to cut down machine time. I like how they scaled back the trapezoidal inserts a little too:

They DID buy Gary's design? I was hoping SOMEONE bought it and would start producing these. I would sell my Centerlines and buy these if they are available. They need to repro the Olds center cap accurately...

A lot goes into a clean wheel design - rigght down to a subtle radius on the edge of a spoke or window. Foose wheels are junk... in my opinion.
