At this rate the car should be ready around.... new years? Maybe that's not a realistic timetable...

Yea, probably on pace for Christmas. Seriously though, good work. I miss the days of having that kind of energy and ability to work on things

I certainly wish that would be the case but I’m going to have to hit the lottery to be able to fund it with that time frame lol

Making progress, this evening I got the donor firewall separated from its original door posts. It is now ready for cleaning and repair so it can be ready for the GN when I marry these two together hopefully this winter. I would love to have most of the metal work done this winter but we shall see

That takes some real guts man, my hats off to ya!

Remaining floor pan spot welds are all drilled out. Firewall is just about stripped part wise. Next will be getting it down to bare metal and get it ready for install on the 82 here in the next couple months hopefully

I haven't done anything close to that invasive myself either.

Have you thought yet about where/how you're going to weld in the cross bracing on the 82 body before starting to drill out the firewall welds so the cabin doesn't shift/distort?

I'm guessing remove the doors and "x" brace the opening there. Maybe something of an "x" in the windshield opening as well? Something from braces to old floors?

I plan on x bracing the door jamb, the firewall I’ll probably do one straight bar from a pillar to a pillar and do some x bracing too
