hey guys thought I would go ahead and join and introduce myself. My name is Charlie and I just bought a super clean all original 79 malibu wagon that is 100 precent rust free car out of arizona I should be taking delivery in a couple of weeks but I went ahead and uploaded abunch of pics for you guys, since we all like pics. Tell what you guys think :lol:

They are in my photo album, and as far as the car goes I think I am going the protouring route with it as far as looks go a drop on some wheels and fresh paint to start, I hate the colors of this car together the green is not bad but the brown has to go lol

I cant figure out how to make tegallery where everyone can see it, I change it to that and hit update and it tells me no update needed but it does not change

yep stole it on eBay lol I plan for a stereo system a 2" drop on I think a set of TT2's probably in 17's then paint after I remove the roof rack, rear spoiler, body moulding. the only think I don't know about is the guy I bought it from said that the tailgate lock just spins but wont open any suggestion's

Im not familiar with those locks . However , it seems similar to a truck tailgate per say . If so , then if its possible to remove the inner panel , where you can get to whatever the lock connects to , maybe a bar mechanism , you might be able to just connect them back together . If thats the way they are designed , then maybe something simply popped off , or a clip broke . That is if you can get the inner panel off . Im sure there are some of these guys that have had them all apart and will know exactly what you will have to do . I deal mainly with column and door locks . Transponder keys and reprogramming . It will be interesting to hear the fix .
