NICE GRATZ!!!!!

Made some good progress this morning. I need to use the e-brake indicator in the Firebird gauge cluster since the old one is going away. After popping several LEDs with a 9v battery (D'OH!), I threw in the towel, and found a little bulb on a pigtail laying around the shop.

That's just unacceptable.

A red Sharpie to the bulb did the trick.
TECH NOTE: the brake indicator is tied into the serial data with the ABS & TCS, therefore I had to make my own dedicated circuit for e-brake only.

Also replaced the 194s with LEDs. Not the effect I wanted, but it will have to do for now. The numbers are kind of pinkish; I was hoping for white. Oh, well, maybe I can find a Camaro face or some overlay....

I agree but the awesome job your doing is so much more that putting lipstick on a pig...🙂
Bah! It's just borderline OCD. Thanks for the compliment. I like stuff to look like it grew there; that probably comes from the stereo experience. Nobody wants their interior to look hacked up. I POR15ed the sender to plug any possible pinholes. A new GN sender is $115....
