Looks like the body bushings will be needed sooner than I thought

Seriously, I feel for you northern guys that have to contend with that rust.

not entirely horrible. Conrad had both replacement rails, and the portions which hold the bolts to the body. You can see on his website that you can cut the rail to move it out of the way. Drill out the spot welds and the whole pocket comes down with the captured nuts. Weld in new pockets, and a replacement frame section. I have a full set at work just in case mine is bad when I get around to separating the body from the frame.
That sounds a lot more expensive than some 3/16 sheet steel. I saw about a 6" section originally; I didn't realize it was 18. This isn't a restoration. I'm thinking 5-6 year repair. I'd eventually like to find a nice, southern 2 door.
Any of you Canucks got some old hockey pucks? I'm accepting donations.

My condolences ! Not very proud to welcome you to the rust belt .... Circa 1992 to present !
New washer for the frame. Some sheetmetal and a brake. You will have it rolling in not time.

I have herd about the hockey pucks but never seen anyone use them.

I cant wait to see them!
