stop@ the 50 mile mark, and calculate mileage... saw that you were going to attempt a 300 miler, keeping my fingers crossed for you that this is the only glitch.

Make sure you drive downhill both ways!!

I appreciate the encouragement, but I aborted mission due to a suspect starter. It has been increasingly hard to start despite a new battery. I placed an Amazon order for a new one. It's one of those items you thought about while it was hanging off the crane, and said "Nah, it'll be fine."
I'll be driving it to work next week though. According to the speedo app on my phone, it's 20mph slow throwing the odometer off. The commute is about 90 miles round trip, so I figure I can go 3 days before throwing the can in the trunk.
As far as performance, ehhhh, I don't know what I was expecting, but...... ehhhh. I think the exhaust is too loud giving the impression of "making a lot of noise, and not going anywhere". I don't want to be that guy. I need to quiet it down.

I still think it needs a hair dryer

I remember my 3800 powered fwd Delta 88, it was a POS by the way. That has to be one of the loudest cars I have owned. No cat and put a glass pack on it. About week later I put back on the stock muffler. Get some 3.42 or 3.73 gears in place of the worthless 2.41 gears.

I think we forget it is only a 200 horsepower engine. How is the smoothness, drive ability, and fuel economy? If you do a cam swap and a turbo these engines are know to make 400-500 horsepower.

More importantly than the 205hp is the meh 230 ft/lbs, my 260 is probably close to that a 2100 rpm. I would add dual exhaust with quiet mufflers along with 3.42 or 3.73 gears depending on your tire height. The Supercharged version with 35 hp and more importantly 50 ft/lbs may have been a better choice considering the work done. I would think the mileage will be ridiculously good with the current gearing.
