Yes, the belt is a little screwed. It caught the end of a hose clamp.

Yeah, it wore a groove in the control arm (Probably when I power braked it). I was able to get a deburring bit in there to open it up.

Good news: speedometer is corrected.
Bad news: fuel gauge still drops to empty when full
Very bad news: rod bearing went south on a terminal velocity run.

That sucks man! Make lemonade from the situation...you've done all the mock up and such. Acquire another Series II and the swap will be much more straight forward.

Wow that sucks but these engines are junk especially when not taken care of.

When I seen that sludge in the engine, well that was not a good sign.

I hope you do fix it .

You can't give up now. Those engines are a dime a dozen and the concept is still cool. I would give you a hand myself if I was a little closer.
