Got the exhaust fixed- error in procedure while reinstalling the y-pipe and band clamp position in the 3"section. Sounds funny as hell!

Yup they all were once lolA turbo would quiet it down a lot, but 9.4:1 is way too much compression. Plus, I don't want to run expensive gas; it IS a commuter, not a hot rod....

Took it out for a drive over to a friend's house. Exhaust thumps somewhere in the back, it fell and is sagging at the front, the donut on the y-pipe is leaking, there's some noise that I can't tell if it's engine or exhaust leak, the check engine light is on , and it's loud.
On the good side, it drives much better with the new gears.🙁

It also means chipped piston or 700 dollar forged pistons on a Series two. Looked into it my self. Top of piston to first ring groove is very thin. They will not take any detonation .My 9.5:1 5.3 says otherwise!! 14# on pump gas!!
