The tune can be changed so that the PCM doesn't report the code for the rear O2 sensors. Then there's no need for simulators.

It was tuned out originally; that's why I don't understand why it just popped up.
I cut the wires, so no simulators. I have to get the 'puter back on it to correct the speedo, anyway.

Is the fuel pump cutting off (not keeping up) at 3500 and above. I had an issue eerily similar with my A1000. It was wired into the painless harness and being controlled by the ECM. It turned out that it wasn't getting enough voltage at a threshold RPM (around 4k in my case), and wouldn't go to high speed!
I couldn't go above about 50mph, totally sucked!!!! I added a hotwire kit and it fixed the issue. Food for thought.
