It was tuned out originally; that's why I don't understand why it just popped up.
I cut the wires, so no simulators. I have to get the 'puter back on it to correct the speedo, anyway.

Hmmm, I'm out driving around, and it's acting all weird. It falls on its face above 3500 under load. It starts slowing down and bucking. I'm confused...

Is the fuel pump cutting off (not keeping up) at 3500 and above. I had an issue eerily similar with my A1000. It was wired into the painless harness and being controlled by the ECM. It turned out that it wasn't getting enough voltage at a threshold RPM (around 4k in my case), and wouldn't go to high speed!
I couldn't go above about 50mph, totally sucked!!!! I added a hotwire kit and it fixed the issue. Food for thought.

Saw earlier you were looking at higher stall converters.

A factory 4cyl 4wd blazer has a high stall converter that flashes to like 2600-2800 in a full weight car. HBLD code converter I think?
