Our 79 Monte Carlo- Pro Touring Project

Thanks V8.

Glad you asked about GM Carlisle. Rumor has it, we will be giving rides at the auto-x track during the GM show. The ride will give our fellow enthusiasts a way to feel what it's like to ride in a UMI Stage 4 car. Stay tuned for more details.

We are still gauging interest and also testing that cross member. So, we're thinking about it.

Thanks.

Here are a few before and after pictures of the cars stance.

The front was lowered about 3". We achieved this with a 1/2" taller lower ball joints and a Viking front coil over kit with 550lb spring. There is no ground clearance issues or bottoming out.

We had the rear of the car lowered 2", however the tires rubbed the fender wheels. So as soon as as get the rear fenders rolled we will be lowering the back of the car another 1" for a total of a 2" drop. This will level the stance out some as well.

That car is sure looking good. I was wondering how you go that drop on the front with no bottoming out issues and then I realized you are running your UMI lower control arms. When we raced the metric we had to keep the OEM lower arm and they have a hump on them that will bottom on the frame if lowered too much. We found that out the hard way... 😳

put the stock wheels back on. :itchy:

Nice! Like the 3in drop up front. I just installed my wheels except i went with the Nitto's ... But those Vette brakes look good!! Going to start to look into some of your parts to get my GP done! MY ride sits too tall... :? Are the sway bar mounts available for the 36mm front sway bar?
