Our 79 Monte Carlo- Pro Touring Project

Nice Ride! Im really diggin' the green interior

What do you think of the G-Force KDW 2 tires on the street and on the track? My brain expects a tread pattern in an UHP tire to have grooves and ribs, not diamonds or whatever you call that pattern. 245-17 front and 265-17 rear?

We've had good success with the KDW'S and to be honest, yes, we feel the tread pattern looks strange too. Doesn't seem to affect performance though. I believe that line is at least partially discontinued now. Our next set will be Rivals or an equivalent 200 TW Pro-Tour tire.

We liked gray and black. I think black was out of stock or not available.. I can't remember. But the gray turned out nice. Really sets off the green! 😀

As for any interior panels. We had no part in any white or green paint. It was bought like that. ha. We will update over time.

But we do have some dash updates coming 😉

Ok, just curious. I wasn't sure on the interior color direction you were going, allot of colors going on there! 😀

We think this car was someones baby at one time. They did some interior painting and wheel painting. The engine was actually built correctly as well. We are going to keep working on it!

Last season we spun a rod bearing in the Green Machine and we are finally getting around to swapping the motor. The plan is to swap in a running 400 we have here so we can run the car while we repair and rebuild the engine we are removing. A lot of people want us to go LS in this car, for this year we will stick SBC and possibly LS for next season.

While removing the engine it will also give us a chance to remove the heater box and clean up the engine bay, fix the wiring ect..

We began the swap yesterday and I will keep you updated on the progress. Thanks for looking!
