Looks like it could use a steering box upgrade.

It actually has a Delphi 670 box on it, only has been used one season and works great.
I could only see the top of the box in the pic, I stand corrected.

Not only does it have a new Delphi 670 box, it also has a very nicely installed power steering cooler up in the grille.

And Ryan rarely picks on me about the deluxe zip tie installation system.

I'm just wondering if the rod bearing failure in the previous engine was related to a lack of lubrication, due to the hard cornering that you're doing with the car now. Any plans to upgrade the oiling system on the 400, before it goes into the car?
Also, I'm wondering if you're planning on participating in the Carlisle swap meet at the end of April. I'm hoping to get to that one, and wondering if you'd have a display there.

The rod bearing failure was due to the stock oil pan. We'll be upgrading to a road race pan on the 400.

Carlisle is our home show and we have a gigantic spread on the manufacturers midway. The Green Machine will be there of course. Stop by and say hi. We love to meet our forum friends.

Still hoping to at least make Sunday of the Carlisle show in June. What is the April show?

I know the 1st and last days are like that, been a lot of years since I was able to make one of the meets. :? I always seem to have something to do. I hope to make it out there.

Thanks for the quick response. I hope that the 400 works out well for you. It should be an interesting engine out on the track. Glad to see that someone is still using the "old school" SBC (at least for now). Keep the updates coming.
