what do u notice first?

ive got a set of wheels i have to look at when a customer picks up their car. he said they are chrome cragars that have less than 1000 miles on them....for 100 buck with tires on them  even if the tires are shot they are 14s and i have 14s on it already with new tires (not the tires in the picture, those were on the car for paint). if they are nice wheels its a steal

Lets see a $2000 dollar band aid . Or a sweet condition car with great body work Hummmmm?

You can get a set of gm alum wheel everywhere. For cheap . Got for body paint . You will be glad you did .

Just like a sound system In a car with out motor . Duh what !

It's not a band-aid if you're gonna get them anyway. A lot of times people lose interest in cars before completing them, so if this were to happen, you can still keep the rims. At the same time, wheels will give the most visual stimulation to a plain car, which can help with not loosing interest in the car in the first place.

Guess that's the difference . I like sweet condition clean car. The the add ons. I lose interest when they sit for long time.

I would walk past a bad paint car with rims . to look at a sweet ride anyday . as would most of the car nuts I run with .

I sorta had the same dilemma, I chose to go with the wheels first because i'm not done with my car, the paint will be the last thing I do and I'll probably do it myself, gotta learn somehow right? The wheels made a huge difference and i'm happy with the decision I made....if u want, go to my album and take a look

and im probably going to end up redoing the body work on my car in a few years...... all the imperfections bother me. and i can see them without even being able to see the car. just do watever feels right. if you want wheels buy wheels. if you want paint get it painted. either way some people are going to ask y you dont have wheels yet or why it isnt painted yet.

Just like another member posted pick up some factory wheels with decent rubber for cheap off CL or Kijiji. I like the look of 15" poncho rally wheels, 15" Corvette Rally or 16" zq8 wheels on the GP's. Should be able to score a nice set with good rubber for less than $400. Then start saving for brake and motor upgrades before paint IMO

Why not try buffing the paint you already have? If it's not too thin you may be able to bring it back to life and make it look pretty good until you're ready to paint it. I'd go for suspension/wheels/tires first, then brakes, then paint. I'd want it to be able to handle and stop first before I throw nice paint on it.

Thinking about going paint first. This has been a VERY slow process in making a decision. Paint will more than likely come first.

Anyways, I have another set of wheels that I am liking. What about these wheels?

Anyone seen these wheels on a g-body?

I still like the REV classic chrome wheels as well:

paint first... the first wheels look real good!

The paint is the very last thing being done to my car. I want everything to be finished before there is a nice paint job on it
