Ok. Her's the latest idea I'm having for a reaar end.

Thing is, I would like to keep my drum brakes. Couldn't I just use this housing or posi unit and swap it for mine?

10 bolt rearend posi disk brake (323 gear)no brakes on it come off of 87 trans amgood working condition, can fit in all 82 92 camaro z28 iroc rs firebird formula gta monte carlo ss cutlas.

It's looking like I should just wait on a g-body rear cause I don't want to do to much fabricating for a swap. What do you all think?

if you want to use a rear end from a firebird/camaro and you want to use drum brakes all you have to do is get backing plates for drum brakes for a firebird/camaro and they bolt up with the four bolts that are used to install the plate for the disk brake set up...

Using the entire rearend is going to be a little difficult, due to the torque arm set-up. but you can use the internals(carrier, ring and pinion, shims) in your existing housing.

this is getting a little rediculous. "Can i hack this into this" etc. Just go out, find a Monte SS rear with 3.73's and posi (usually find one for 200-$350) bolt it in and your done.

That's some pretty solid advice ... just get a whole bolt-in rear and be done.
