BUILD THREAD Project Olds Cool (Recognition!!)

I assume you are also gonna brush look the grills?

And while you’re busy doing that, Ima steal your ‘69 Hurst Olds, put 32” wheels on it and turn it into a Donk. Oh, and have your wife sell your collection of NOS parts for what you told her you paid for them.
😉🤣

I don’t get mad, I get even.
😏
Oh, don't worry. She WANTS to just throw it away. She's says if I pass on before her, she's just calling one of those waste management dumpster things and tossing it all in there. I told her I'd spend every last dime to stay alive to stop that sh*t.

Absolutely.

I had done it to the old original grilles and headlight bezels, but that was before Mr. NOS put me onto a set of beautiful NOS grilles and RH headlight bezel to replace my hammered and peeling originals.
I’ve had an eBay search out for months now for a NOS replacement for the LH bezel, but it’s a desert out there. I’m going to have to use the original LH one for the foreseeable future.

Upon getting ready to install these pieces, I found that I wasn’t entirely happy with the job I had done on them for the brushed finish, so I’m currently in the process of redoing the original one a little better and of course starting from scratch again on the new pieces.

The other change some of you may have noticed from stock is blacking out the inner surfaces around the headlights. This will help cover up some of the imperfections in the original piece while adding a nice contrast against the brushed finish. I really like this look as it seemed a little too much having all the surfaces of the bezels brushed. It just didn’t look quite right.
A happy coincidence of doing this is that they tie into the black sections of the grilles perfectly in the process.

I mean I meant to do that. Yeah, that’s it.
😉

You really have an unhealthy obsession with that man. You might want to consider going for counselling.
You're trying to deflect. I simply observe.

He paints (ok, painted), you paint. Makes amazing pictures out of virtually nothing; doesn't start throwing sh*t when things don't go as expected; ...etc,

I've done the research. You two are somehow linked. I just report. 🙂

I'm going to run around that car with a shopping cart. Guaranteed to cause anxiety and heart attacks. 🙂

Hehe. People ask why I don't bring my car to the Grand Rapids Metro cruise.....So many dipshyts with strollers and the general public with zero respect for other peoples personal property. 😳
