BUILD THREAD Project Olds Cool (Recognition!!)

Sorry Jared, I had all but forgotten that you had requested this. I was under the car yesterday bleeding the brakes and (finally) got you some pictures. Please excuse the dirt, rusty surfaces and my piss poor POR15 job. No one other than you guys is gonna see any of it anyways.

The union point is just forward of the front lower control arm mount. It’s really the only decent spot to put it with the body still on the frame. After this spot the brake line goes inside the C channel section of the frame up towards the proportioning valve and is nearly impossible to access.

It took a little finagling to get it in there, but the new section of line will go in and out without bending it. We made sure to remove the old line without bending it and used it as a template to form the new one.
Hope this helps.

D.
Thank you Donovan. That's very helpful.

You’re not wrong. It definitely isn’t typical of my style, but I’m trying something new: it’s called zero ****s given about what isn’t critical and what can’t be seen anyways. Send it as the boys here like to say.
😂

A frame off really isn’t in the cards for this thing, at least not from me. It doesn’t really need it. I’ll leave that up to the next caretaker of it if’n they’re so inclined. At best, the most this MIGHT still get (and that’s a big “MIGHT”) is a lil rust converter treatment and undercoating or bedliner or other such treatment just to preserve and pretty up the floor pans. But that’s it.

But then again, I’ll prolly just drive it. I’ll leave my unchecked OCD tendencies to The Juggernaut, for it’s my real passion.
That way you get to drive and enjoy it rather than keep taking it apart.

JUGGERNAUT!!!

On a self created 4 day weekend since it’s my birthday again Monday. It’s gonna be sunny and 22C here today, Olds Cool has a full tank of premium and is actually back together and drivable for a change.

Any guesses as to how I’ll be spending the entire day?? 😁
