according to the gm electrical manual, that connector is for the optional power sunroof.
rear defogger power locks and power seat have orange wiring and are powered off the "pwr" circuit breaker of the fuse block.
your pink wiring is part of the "cross car harness" that powers the electric sunroof and electric windows.
that connector is listed as c553 which power the sunroof. the book doesn't show a pic, but lists it as a single wire connector. it splices into the"cross car harness at s340 shown in the second pic.
i would tape it off or use it to power other equipment. keep in mind it is powered my a 30amp self-resetting circuit breaker that powers your windows.

Awesome, thank you! It’ll be a perfect tap for the power mirror conversion.

I had a few minutes free so I worked a little on some interior pieces tonight.

Installed a shift boot from a 2017 Mustang GT. Sacrilege I know, but I think it fits the console pretty well.

I also trimmed the gauge surround and test fit the DD gauges. Since the new gauges have the same dummy lights as the factory gauge pod, I’m thinking I may wire the stock CEL as a shift light.

Installed the engine accessories today. Like everything, it’s supposed to be bolt on but it’s not. I had to drop $50 on a holley PS pulley (that I’m positive is 300% markup if I only knew the cross reference numbers) because my custom Lee pump has a different shaft diameter than what comes in the kit. It all looks and fits nice otherwise. I’m ordering up a 10mm shorter supercharger belt because my slightly smaller than stock blower pulley maxes out the tensioner.

Fitting up all the stuff in the rear. The rear panel is about 1/4” different from side to side so I either have to beat the snot out of it or space the passenger tail light out with some washers. I also started working on skinning the doors. Once they’re done, I’ll bolt them on, bolt up the fenders, header panel and front bumper, then start plumbing and wiring.

Finished skinning the doors and hung them, along with fenders. I have the repop inners and may find a used OE set to swap them out. They fit ok-ish.

It’s been a minute since I posted. Much of this year was busy, and I was kinda pissed about the inner fenders and blower belt, so the car did a lot of sitting until about a month ago. I ended up buying a set of used inner fenders and had to get creative with the blower belts to get one that fit the way I liked. I’ve been installing much of the ancillary components, and the next step is finding a way to fit the heat exchangers behind the grille. Once everything is fitted, I’ll repaint the core support and put some on the raw braces and brackets too. Then it’s time to wire the fans, hx pump and headlights and move on to interior wiring. I’ve got everything I need to finish all of it, minus a driveshaft (CF one on the way) so I just need to keep on it. This thing will drive itself out of the garage next spring! If I keep saying that, it’ll come true, right??

Thanks!

Time gets tight with kids, and makes progress slow. I now understand why some builds never get finished. Luckily I’m at the point where everything I do is visible progress, because I’m not sure I could start over now.
