Im pulling the rear end out soon too, might as well. Then Im going to redo rear suspension for lowness

Re: Project "Bagging Rights"

Looks good!!! That color on the block looks real nice with the chrome

Re: Project "Bagging Rights"

Engine and trans are done, just missing some accesory stuff. The brown cap isn't staying either.
Made up some stands so it can sit in the corner for awhile.

Decided to do a 2" notch in the rear frame for the axle. I took the bumpstops off the axle and made a slot in my notch piece so they would push in. If I need them I'll use them, if I want more low I'll take them out.

elcamino3-15008.jpg

Picked up this super nice bench seat, I will almost feel bad reupholstering it.
elcamino3-15021.jpg

Modified jeep shaft, s-10 manual steering box, and my chrome column is just about done.
elcamino3-15015.jpg

And because I do everything backwards, this is out now haha
elcamino3-15017.jpg

I met a guy who had shaved his bed trim, and I liked it. I'm thinking about doing this.

And I am in love with this. Atleast 95% of it. Love it.

Re: Project "Bagging Rights"

thats a very close friend of mines, el co (the blue one in the video), if you want more video of it let me know, it has shockwaves on it... and a built big block

Re: Project "Bagging Rights"

Looks like somebody's been busy. There,s a pic on my photobucket link of a blue elky that has the factory bedtrim blasted, tackwelded, & final bonded with 3-m automix, then molded in. Just giving you a 2nd option. There was a hint or ghost shadow during peak heat of the day that went away later. Thinking of doing mine oneday , but automix only so no stitch weld ghostshadows.
Another possible suggestion, I resculptured my seat foam to look like bench seats. Also cut out upper seat frame section from a Lexus ls 400 & installed it with sheetmetal screws to my set frame ( to not have to weld) To have modern symetrical 2 post headrests. People always ask where I got the seat from. It's stock.
Keep up the good work.
