On the aisle with all your RTV there is a product by permatex called gasket remover. It comes in a cheeze whiz looking can. The top of the can doubles as a scraper. I think it is around $10.

I work at autozone too but we didnt have it at our store. But I got some from napa and used it to clean as much as I could. Then I put the gasket on and the silicon to seal the block and i put the manifold on and it looked like the manifold sat right so I screwed in the first bolt. The first bolt went in fine but when i got to the second bolt it wouldnt screw in at all it just kept spinning. So i figured the manifold probably didnt sit right but i looked and the bolt holes were lined up. So I took off the manifold and looked at the hole that the screw wouldnt go in and it looked like it was filled with dirt or something. I cleaned some out then tried to put the bolt in but it wouldnt screw at all. I dont know if the hole is stripped or what.

when you took the intake off if there was any issue with the threads I think you would have noticed it then. You could try a thread chaser to clean up the threads and if they are damaged you can install a heli-coil...also when your installing the intake bolts you didn't tighten the first one down before you put in the next bolt did you?....you should start all the bolts by hand and then tighten them up in their proper sequence...start in center and work outwards criss crossing

The holes have to be cleaned and the bolts also have to be clean. Do not tighten any untill you have them all started.

How do I clean the holes?

Lol my bad I missed that part. Ok I guess I will do that then thanks. I knew it was too good to be true when the manifold fit perfect on the first try lol
