Schwartz Perf chassis under a Monte SS

I have put a lot of time and money in my car even though I do all the labor it still adds up and I could have gone a different route and built an older classic that might or might not hold it's value.
But I have a passion for gbodies as many others do and didn't buy it because it was cheap, I bought it because I love the body style but always thought they were under powered (except GN,GNX) and to me the Monte SS always looked Badass.
Now if I was building a road race car I would consider a chassis like this to be competitive and why not for a gbody, nothing against 69 Camaro's and 72' Chevelle's but they have been done to death, I like having something that breaks away from the norm even if it is not for everybody, it doesn't matter it's for me!

This may get me banned but if all you're looking for is something with low entry price, solid platform, and more aftermarket stuff than you can shake a camshaft at, you really have to give that award to a Fox body Mustang with a LS swap. Fox bodies are everywhere though, and a good portion of their fans are nothing but domestic ricers who think 'no mufflers = fast'... :puke:

I'll keep my ElCamino, who cares if the interior plastics turned to dust!

i like fox body mustangs. it's my little dirty secret but there it is for everyone to see my shame!

not sure about low entry price, locally anyway prices tend to be a little inflated. maybe that has changed but it wasnt that long ago i looked at buying a mustang, a few months ago maybe.

but i'd keep it all ford and stick with a 302 or stroke it out to a 347. maybe use a turbo 4 banger. my auto tech teacher turned us students onto the SVO and i know how easily a well tweaked turbo'd t-bird can smoke the tires for days. ford knew what they were doing with that "little engine that could". i'm a GM fan but he got me to appreciate ford. his 460 powered comet was a blast. in street trim (a track car with street mufflers really) it'd pull the front tires off the ground. painted in puke green, the vomit comet we called it. he showed us an input shaft from his C4 that was twisted into a licorice stick. transmission class was fun.

Engine Picts. Should have the AC done this week, then I can mount the XIM. Time for some quality driving then we'll work on hiding the harnesses.

Optioned out you are looking at $20,000+ from Schwartz's site ... I would pay that in a heartbeat, if I had it

That chassis is amazing :!:
One of these is definetly on my list when I win the lottery 😀

nice and I like the manual brake set up. What master are you running?

Master cylinder is a 1970 Corvette manual unit. $23.00, can't beat the price and works great.
