Did anyone have to remove the headers to install these? The LS1 headers are close but they seem about the same distance from the frame as traditional SBC headers

Bump, to hear from the guys with high daily driver mileage on the steel bushings. ALL bushings wear how many miles before you had to change them out.

They are a nylon or teflon bushings and not steel. I cut mine to resize them and if you get them too hot when welding they melt so the arm doesn't move very good and are junk. I have had mine last 2 summer seasons and that's with greasing them twice a month. I do 20k miles in the summer and I'm kinda hard on the car. The best way to go is roller bearings but you'll only find them for Mustangs

Ok so the speedway arms have liners. I guess cause I've been looking mostly at the UB Machine set with steel bushings I thought they all did. I just found out today that UB offers Teflon liners. What's your opinion on Teflon vs non-Teflon?

Am I understanding you right that you were getting approximately 40k on a set of speedway arms with the nylon/Teflon liners. I drive about 12k-14k a year, thats about 3 1/2 years, not too terrible.

I use and was talking about the UB machine uppers. The UB uppers did have a brass bushing a few years back though. For the Speedway arms if the cap is removed from the shaft the bushing will be visible
