Re: Cutlass on a budget build thread
Ok guys, it's coming along slowly, but surely. Almost done with one speaker pod, and visited the glass place this morning (I'll talk about that later.) Here's some pictures
1st coat of resin on one of the speaker pods:
Next mold done:
Went to a local glass place this morning to have my back window re-sealed. I told the guy it is leaking out of the top drivers side corner, and you can actually push the glass out with your finger. I told him if he can do it without pulling the glass that is fine, but if he has to pull the glass, then he has to pull the glass. He told me he would clean out the gap, and run a bead of silicone across the sides and top of the glass. It only took him 10 minutes and this is what he gave me:
I'm still a little bit ill about this whole deal, it cost me $40 for something that looks like it was done by a 5 year old. I can't even put the trim back on the car. Not to mention it was raining, and the guy gave it NO time to dry. My thoughts were that he was going to run a small bead of silicone right up against the glass. Not fill all the gap with a boat load of silicone.
