Got my first quote for body/paint. Guy asked $2800. Its a one man shop type of shop if you know what I mean. That's with body work and paint. On the other hand my headliner came in. The abs plastic is way sturdier than the original cardboard. Plan is to get the headliner stitched with diamond pleats. Updates with pics soon.

I just realized tonight that my headliner is coming down in the center and laterally to each side . . . at only 28K, the rest of my interior looks new but the ceiling is falling in.

Oh well, add it to the pile . . .

Anxious to see diamond tuck up there!

Yea the headliner glue isn't great from factory. I won't get to the interior for a while. I visited a upholstery shop who can redo my rear seats to match the fronts and side door panels. Where looking at $$$ lol but in the end it'll be worth it. Headliner my guess would be around $200-$300 just to get it done with pleated vinyl + it's a t-tops so the section isn't that big. It be more for a full roof.

Hood will be arriving today!

Will be taking detailed pics. I know a few of you guys where interested in this hood when it was in development by tobyp. Off note: Haven't seen him on this site for a while...

Drove the car to a yard my father rents for his boats. Doing timing chain and trans filter there. I think I'm really going to need that trans fluid and filter lol on the way over the car would die at Red lights. I would pop it in N and keep it running. Well...I accidentally popped it into R. I was going really slow, hence the Red light. Barked the tires and stalled the engine. YIKES! 😕

tobyp left the forum over some drama earlier this year.

sh*t! is that a dent right in the centre
Yup. If it isn't one thing it's another and I'm up to my ears with this garbage!

Edit: Talked to Summit Racing. I'm having another one shipped Monday. OOPS will be here next week to pick this mess up. I can't believe this. Somewhere along the line an idiot handled the hood and damaged it. I didn't even bother touching it. Took the pics and closed it right back up. From what I saw it looks like a very well built piece. Can't say much more than that.

Holy sh*t! I would be super pissed as i know you are!!!! Hoods are not cheap by any means, especially a steel unit, but i am very fond of summit and they take care of us gearheads pretty well!

I've had an instance or two with products due to shipping screw ups and they handle the issue promptly.

I have a super awesome contact at summit, this girl has went above and beyond to make sure things stay right. If you need a hand, PM me and i will get you her contact info.
