Likewise on Summit. Since the UMI front sway bar is pretty much just exactly like my F41, I didn't order one. Summit messed up though and sent the front instead of the rear that I did order but they made me such a good deal on just keeping it so I did. No way I was going to get my 30 year old bar blasted and powder coated any cheaper and it saved them the ship back cost. Plus they express shipped the rear bar that really wasn't even necessary [since I am just now getting started] . . .

That hood box had to take a pretty enormous hit. They will make it right though . . .

Thanks for the reference. The guy who I talked to didn't ask no if, ands, or buts. Summit is one of the best companies to deal with, I can say. And your right the hood wasn't cheap. $678.97 to be exact. I don't understand how some of the UPS workers are so careless. The Box clearly indicates to keep up-right. Someone laid it on the floor I'm guessing, or had a lunch break on top of it.

Just don't get it...i loaded trucks at ups after high school since they were paying for college and i was super careful to not damage or mess with packages. Always treated them as if they were mine. However, the younger generation now (not all but most) have a crappy work ethic, and lack of care for stuff that isn't theirs and all they worry about is a pay check and who just tweeted what, or shared a pic, etc.
I'm glad to hear summit didn't hesitate to fix the issue and I'm sure ups will be getting the bill for the damaged hood!

They are all just boxes to them. They have no incentive to handle with care. They are incitivised to handle fast, fast, fast and that is all. I'm not very fond of UPS due to issues like this. Also, shame on the manufacturer for not packing the hood better than that. It's been my experience that the aftermarket sheet metal industry thinks that shipping damage is just part of it and we are supposed to just deal with it, which I couldn't disagree with more.

I personally think items like this should be crated and if I have to pay more for truck freight I am fine with that.
The shipper knows things don't get handled with care and should take the precautions to make sure their customers get the product undamaged.
Someone on here got one of the first Cutlass steel hoods from tobyp and what do you know that one also arrived damaged.

The hood is ruined. Hard to see in the pic but it's more of a wrinkle than a dent, which is worse. Let's hope my front spoiler doesn't come looking like egg shells...

That looks like the one made by Lauren Engineering possibly sold by Gbodyparts?

You are correct. I had already ordered the kit from gbodyparts.com, just waiting for them to get here. It's practically the last panel I need to move onto body work.
