Actually I liked the car overall - but, it doesn't do burnouts well.

Unless you turn the Traction / stability control off you can't have much fun. It will shut you down with even the mildest of hooning.

Most people wouldn't think a 400+ HP car with 10" wheels and 285 tires all around would be good in the rain, but it actually pretty good in the rain because the computers and gyro's are saving you from yourself hundreds of times/second.

Disable the traction/stability control completely and the car will eventually break loose so fast nobody has the reflexs to catch it.

At a track day I left the traction/stability on to keep me smooth (wheelspin pulls back the motor), then once I learned the track switch to advanced track which lets the back end hang out. Disabling everything is asking to go spinning off the track.

Probably not without a $10K trade-in.

My Premium '13 GT was $32K with a $38K sticker. I can't imagine they would have sold it to me for $22K with three $45K - $49K (before dealer markup) Boss 302's sitting in the showroom.
Actually, it was all about timing...

I bought the car (a 2014) at the end of may, 2014. Everybody wanted the new redesign 2015 models, so demand on the 14s was weak as all get out.

The dealer, and I had to drive to charlotte area from atlanta, really wanted to move the car. At the time ford was offering a total of 6000 cash back between their promotions and bonus cash if you didnt take their 0% apr, stackable with any other discounts (we also had a $1000 household offer from ford) and I took a pair of other $500 offers as well based on career and education. The negotiated Costco pricing through our executive membership actually amazing and beat the fleet discounts at the dealership off the top before all the above were added in.

Buying out of state, no sales tax was collected since GA shifted to a title fee but no sales tax. So it really was a flat 22k out the door... and yes, I got then to throw in a ford esp at the highest level to 7yrs/100k for free too.

 shhh... he's calculating and "International Watch" list. Hehe wait till they try and get on an airplane.
They will get stuffed in a little room for an hour then some huge dude will walk in and without saying a word drop a bottle of lube and a box of rubber gloves on the table and walk back out.
That will make you think of everything you have done in life to get yourself into that situation.

I've got my 1995 F150 and I had a 1998 Lincoln Town Car that I drove for a while. The Lincoln was great at roasting tires. No pics of my Town Car, but here is one just like it, same color and top as mine had-

Yup. All 5 liters of it. Cost about $800 extra to remove the most obvious external signs of it, but, I prefer the sleeper... well... as much of a sleeper as you can get with that distinctive growl. No hiding that part.

But, if anyone else decides to want to, the tri shield running pony fender badges use the same holes as a 5.0... and the rims were optional on some v6 cars as well so that's not such a give away either.

I wouldn't mind a 2011 to new Mustang convertible with the 5L 6 spd.

Here is a picture of my '13 at the SORC 1/2 mile shoot-out...
2017 half mile.jpg

with my son driving. He only ran 126 and didn't beat my 130+ from a few years earlier. He only had 1 clean run though and missed a shift on the two others. I put a '13 GT500 rear spoiler and 14" rear brakes, 19X10 Laguna Seca wheels with 285/35's all around, added Lowering Springs and camber plates. I bought a set of 14" front Brembos off Craigslist for $500.

When my son turned 16, he took his driving test in the car and passed on the first try. The guy giving the test was impressed he could parallel park a 400 HP 6 speed so well.

I got two Fords, a 02 Ranger with the 4.0 V6 and 4x4, and 08 Crown Vic police interceptor. The Panther platform was the last of the old RWD full frame sedans.
