I've been slowly losing momentum on my LT1 swap. Haven't really touched it a a few months. I was hoping to get it done by the end of the year, but it doesn't look like it is going to happen with my work schedule, current motivation level and daily driver problems I've been fighting with. I was going to put it on hold, but then I found the 86 Monte Carlo of my dreams. I am calling around tomorrow to verify that all the bottom end work and trans work that the guy got done is legit. If it is, it is a done deal. Although I will miss my car, the 86 will fill it's place nicely. Wondering what I can get for my car, as is.

It is an 84 Monte Carlo, beautiful pearl silver paint and mint maroon ragtop. The body of the car is in great shape, minimal rust (left rear frame rail, left trunk and behind the driver's seat on the floor board where the drain hole is). Bottom of the doors are shot though. I was planning on repairing them. The floors are clean enough to eat off of, top and bottom. I started notching the frame for larger tires, but haven't welded plates back in yet.

The engine wiring has been more or less removed. I also stripped the radio and HVAC wiring. The only thing that is cut up is the trans tunnel, for the 6 speed shifter.

I have a complete maroon interior for it, aftermarket buckets and stock console/floor shift. I will make sure it is put back together when I go to sell it. The car will be complete minus what was stripped and drive train. I even have a F-body radiator with dual fans and the stock exhuast to go with it.

What do you guys think that it is worth rolling?

Hate to say it but maybe $1500-2000 at best. Not alot of people like to buy projects like these just because it's like you said, the stripped shell with the interior to go with it. Looks like a real clean car though. Probably a perfect canidate for an LSx engine with a decent shot of nitrous

call me cheap but with the chassis cut, wire harness missing, doors rotted, no motor, no trans, and floor cut up..

sounds like a parts car to me.

If the front clip is good maybe you would be better off parting it out.

And it might very well end up that way. Personally, I don't think that it is rough enough to need parted out.

If anyone is interested in a fairly solid, but stripped out roller, shoot me a PM.

If it weren't so far away I'd be interested. :(

Post it on craigslist....like Dayton, Cincinnati, etc too. There's plenty of people out there that like MC's that aren't on this site. Unless you know where to look g-bodies aren't popping up everyday. Especially in the midwest. If you advertise it for a grand I'm sure you'll get rid of it quick.
