It took all day to tear apart that engine. We knew the engine was ruined from not having a hood on it for who knows how long at the salvage. It had water in it. One cylinder wall is heavily pitted from water. The pistons are stamped 040. I pulled the main caps and it's 10 under. The crank is cast instead of forged. When I pulled a rod cap, I found the knock the salvage owner said it had. It's no big deal, I bought it for the extra accessories and the aluminum intake.

Picked up some old magazines from 1978 and 1979 on the turbo Century at ebay. HotRod actually modded one in three issues so I grabbed all three. Car and Driver and Motor Trend road tests it. What can I say, I like reading old mags. The coolest cover goes to,,,,,,,

Went today to clear out stuff around it. Bad news is the carb he thought was in the trunk is missing. I'm not sure whats different about a draw through Q Jet but I need one without computer controlled stuff on it

I've got a butt load of Qjet cores. Want one?
