I figured it would go over the alternator after looking at your photos and the stock photos I uploaded...I gotta say, its tough to tell without actually seeing it in person but it looks like the neck with the two ports is the correct one. If you look at the picture of my motor with the serpentine setup the neck is a factory GM part that came on the motor. The hose is made to go over the alternator. From seeing it in a photo I would say buy the factory style hose, put it together dry and see if the hose fits right.
That's nice 😎...how much did those cost you ?On both my Monte and Regal I just put Aeroquip Stainless steel overbraid on the stock upper hose so I can keep the factory bends and I leave the lower hose stock, since you can't hardly see it anyways so it's not worth the trouble IMO unless you have a full on show car.

Ok, let's to the math...
It's clear I need a 45° angle neck...
Now it's clear the hose goes over the alternator...
With that being said and set it stone, this is this the housing I should be using ?

It doesnt exactly go "over" the alternator. It just looks that way at that angle. Heres a different view. You can see how the stock hose is formed to clear it. Thats why I strongly suggest using a stock hose. Much easier than screwing around trying to make aftermarket crap fit.I figured it would go over the alternator after looking at your photos and the stock photos I uploaded...

You trim the stainless braid to fit the hose, 3' is the one I buy and the hose ends I use are made by Earls and are about $16 each from Summit with a few color choices, there are other companies that make them also. That's nice 😎...how much did those cost you ?
What was the length of the upper and bottom hoses ?
A carb rebuild and Tyne will probably get your engine running better and save you some money. If you plan on upgrading to a bigger engine, a smaller carb will be limiting you.Good info, but the one I ordered is 75°, not straight up...

Keep the old carburetor and don't throw it away for the bigger engineIf you plan on upgrading to a bigger engine, a smaller carb will be limiting you.
Make sure you know the height of the manifold and carb before you buy them. The Performer RPM and Holley in my 81 are right at the edge of hood clearence. I have to change air filters.Tyne ???
