springs dont break unless they corrode so bad that they literally fall apart or because the car did a "dooks of HAZARD" off a cliff or over a speed bump at 60 mph. If this car has a rusty frame, its possible that it has sagged on one side....usually the passenger side, which gets more mud, road grime, salt..etc. My grandpa restored an old police car built in the 50's. The frame was swiss cheese on the passenger side...and just slightly rusty on the drivers..... go figure.chevyfan16 said:Idk why the springs were broken but were also stock with 140,000 miles.
