I took a quick look at Ebay for ideas to upgrade the four 4x6 lights to a H4 style. Considering that the choices are many, what would you suggest. I'm looking for clear H4 housings to closely match the OEM style.
Any to avoid?
Thanks

The hella lenses are are an awsome upgrade. I have them on my 81 malibu wagon. Make sure you you get the upgade harness for the higher current bulbs. Watch out for the cheaper headlight housings from ebay. Alot have tiny city lights that color the housing and super huge seals on the back side. These 2 thing will require massive mods to the headlight buckets. Learned this this the hard way on my 83 wagon.

I bought these:

I also went with these LED lights:

Everything fits good and works awesome. LOVE the LED lights.

Be sure to get Hella 4"x6" "E" code headlights. H4's (for Low Beams) and their H1's (for Hi Beams) as the two have different crystal patterns to throw the proper cut off and illumination.

Thanks for all the advice.
I ordered a pair of Hella - no import duties and extra charges because I ordered from Amazon.ca. I don't really need the quad light setup and extra expense. Plan to convert to a relay switched wiring upgrade.

Completed the Hella e code install. A few observations.
- much better road lighting while keeping OEM look
- p.i.t.a. to install headlights in a SS
- without the harness adapters high beams are on dimly...must use supplied harness extension
- the heat radiating from the front of lit lights is really handy for warming up cold fingers
- I have not yet made and installed a relay light switched circuit - undecided at this time.

That is exactly what I am using for my GP. For the H1 I removed the adapter so I could fit the H4 HID bulb that I already had and folded the metal on the lip of the headlight to keep the HID bulb in place.
