It's now plated and insured. Drove it around a lil today. Never went past 210*, not sure how high of thermostat is in it so I might run a lil cooler with a new one. Gear ratio is gonna suck. Runs 3k at 60mph.
Didn't get any video, but took a picture of the first burnout.

That's cool.....years ago a buddy of mine had a lil Chevette and he threw a sbc in it, man that was a fun car.Good job 8)

Drove it to work today, about 70 mile round trip. Borrowed another 600 Edelbrock, ran much better. But it was acting up on the way home. Smelled rich, not sure if it's a pressure problem or what. Still have a small oil leak, thinking it may be the intake. It really didn't like running those kinda rpms for that long. It also doesn't seem like it's gonna be much better on gas, so she might have to be sold. Time will tell.

Through a new set of plugs in tonight. Running better now. Still think there is a carb/fuel issue. Half expected the shorty plugs to be the ones fouled but only one of them looked like it might have been. A couple of the other plugs looked worse. I did find some short Autolites that I had in stock with a projected tip too, so that should help those.

Same here .. one down the street from me for $700 .... looks in great shape, at this rate jrm81bu going to need to start selling copies of those home made headers .. :lol:
