I know I didn't contribute anything useful to this thread but I was watching it because I was curious which gaskets to use on my upcoming Vortec build. If it's not too much trouble, what is the part number of the set you chose again?

GM 89017465. They are the third set of gaskets in my first post in this thread.

Thank you. That's going on my list.
You might look at that newest Fel Pro gasket. It's the last one I list in my first post in this thread. It does have a metal 'chassis' and the rubber looks more robust. I just didn't like the idea of having to buy all those other gaskets that are included in the set for the O.E. truck application. If that gasket has the rings to prevent over-torquing then it would be worthy of consideration. I just wasn't about to buy a fourth set of gaskets.

What bolts did you use?

couldn't tell you. Bought the intake left over from a friends GMPP 383 build ( he HAD to have an air-gap ). I went to my local performance parts store and asked for vortec intake bolts in anything but chrome. He handed me the package of Black ARP bolts and a set of Fel-pro gaskets.
