This past weekend drove 4 hours with my dad and his Nissan Maxima and came back with all this.

Friday (tomorrow) I'll be picking up my 1970 SP Buick 350 (GS350 engine) from the machine shop after getting its bath and cam bearings.
Yes, that's an 8.5. Out of a GN. Factory 3.42 posi intact. Yes, everything in both pictures was gotten for 1100 bucks.

I bought a slightly used Veethree gps sender so I can turn any electric speedometer into a gps speedometer. He hooked it up but his used electric speedo was defective so he ended up his stock speedo. I got it for $60 so that is well under the price of them on eBay at around $170....it's made for boats but some people think these cars are boats so it should work...🙂

Well I was a little bummed out this morning because I had to go with my wife to her brothers for a thanksgiving celebration. Usually Saturday is my day to go junking. We didn't have to be there til 2:30 but she had a hair appt. at 10:30. Being its 70 miles away, she said I don't know what you are going to do for an hour and a half.
So this morning I googled junkyards in that area and found one pretty close . I didn't bring tools but thought I could look around and kill some time. The yard was in his backyard. He had a couple hundred cars , all of them in the weeds. He was a nice old guy but it took me 15 minutes of talking to him before he would allow me in the yard.
I told him I was looking for GBodys and he said he never heard of them...wtf? Anyhow he had about 10 of them but they were all in really bad shape. I saw an 80 GP and kinda looked inside it and guess what...a dash bezel sitting in the back seat with no broken tabs! I couldn't believe it. I've been searching for a year and a half for one.
Obviously after that , I had a great day...timo22

Vacuum pumps are a nice upgrade. I have one on my Cutlass and it makes a huge difference!
