He can be something to deal with at times, just gotta watch what you say on where the parts came from when you want to buy something. I ran into a simular issue trying to get a rear end with some OK gears. I have the original full bench right now but do toy with going with buckets if I could find year correct seats with covers to match my originals. If I would I wouldn't need the breadbox since stick cars can't use it. But I have a feeling the seat in the Monte would of been the right ones if the weather didn't get to them.

Yeah I got that vibe from him. He seemed like a nice enough guy, he was telling me how he is just getting to old for this business, the EPA is up his *ss, and there's no money left to be made in junk parts. He said he was barely making payroll, and I felt bad for him, but at the same time I'm trying to buy a bunch of parts from him and he is telling me they aren't for sale.

I didn't realize your car was a stick, I guess that does limit your options for consoles. I didn't inspect them really well, but from what I could tell the seats in that Monte still seemed usable, but the tracks are totally rusted away from the floor, so you'd need tracks. Makes for easy removal I guess . The covers probably should be replaced, but they may look presentable if you clean them really well.

Holy crap Joe, mine looks identical when I snatched it from a Monte in a junkyard for $13!!!!! If you need mount measurements lemme know, I have a cheapy diagram I made.

Wow they do look identical! Thanks Scott. I went and set it in the car because I'm afraid if I leave it anywhere else it'll be broken. I'm not ready to weld mounts to the floor just yet but I'm gonna leave it there and I can get an idea of how it will look. Already I can tell the wood trim would have to go.

Near mint choke thingy for if/when I ever sell my engine. I wanna doll it up and get it as complete as I can. It is a legit '70 SP block and whatnot, so its worth doing it imo. Someone who buys this is gonna have an engineless '70 GS350 that needs a new heart.

Bought some new speakers that came in on Thursday. Installed them and they sound pretty good. Better than the 6.5 Sony Xplode speakers that were in there. Still having memory issues with my head unit. I found a wiring diagram that said the orange wire is the continuous 12v power from the battery. I connected it and blew the fuse. I went back to how it was wired with the Yellow wire attached to the yellow wire on the head unit harness. Ill just have to work through it another day when I have more light and better weather.

I also bought some 3.5in Pioneer TS-A878 for front dash to try and round out the sound, but wont be here for a week or so.

Finally got the Rhino liner laid down and frame painted. Would highly recommend this product. Turned out better than I expected!

Just got it yesterday, that shipping was fast!
It's in amazing condition for a used 49 year old part. And I think the coil is replaceable too.

Yellow on the car side is switched accessory- should connect to aftermarket red on radio
Orange on the car side is constant 12v- should connect to aftermarket yellow. Should not blow the fuse- try it with the radio unhooked. If it blows without the radio, it could be in the domelight or lighter circuits (screw through a wire, shorted lighter element, penny in the lighter socket, etc.)
