Had to re-order all of my electrical components from Amazon.com due to an incomplete order. That'll put me 3 weeks behind on the Monte now.

Just got back from the local pick-n-save where I went looking for cheap 15" tires for my '85 GP...instantly forgot about the tires when I spotted a GP sitting in the stacks of cars waiting to be crushed
Not believing my luck because you just don't see these cars in the junkyards around here any more...I made my way over to it and after a quick inspection, went back to the office, negotiated a price, borrowed a couple tools and snagged these parts for $25 each...

The door is not bad at all rustwise, only missing the interior panels and the hinges are mint...my original door is rotted in half at the bottom and drops down a inch when you open it The hood is already cut out under the scoop for a big engine I told them to please set the car off to the side and don't crush it yet. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow!

I tried that. No go. Poor "Mary" must have a pretty strong resolve dealing with people like me... or she drinks herself stupid when she gets home.
Rear window trim pieces I removed from a hardtop Monte 5 minutes before it went into the crusher at the pull-n-save this morning..now I can remove the last scraps of the vinyl top...

Picked up a set of power mirrors from a Fiero for my MCSS. Pulled some of the harness and connector too to make it easier if I ever had to remove them from the car for some reason. Now looking for a mirror control switch from 90's Caprice then will make up the complete harness and wire it up. Itll be a couple months before I can work on her again but I had to snag these mirrors when I found them. First set Ive come across in 2 years.
I also found the horn contact for the steering wheel. Previous owner must not have found it necessary because it was missing when I purchased vehicle.
