I broke down and bought a new battery for the 87 442. I used one of those 25% off coupons and ordered a Duralast AGM 75 series battery from the Zone for 158 and change out the door after I trade my old battery in. I blew it apparently and something happened to my battery tender. Truthfully, I hadn't been paying attention and I went to move it and found the tender was snafu'd. Oh, great, the battery is fugged down too. Load tester simply said "you're fugged". :) I still have to drop by and get it, but it's in a very similar case as the ACDelco brand I was looking at in the 78 group. Hmmm. For some reason, Delco doesn't have a 75 group AGM available. Wouldn't consider it a smokin' deal, but not bad since I was needing a new battery anyway. Keep an eye on those tenders, kids! Probably going to get a new tender as well. I've had good luck with those battery tender juniors, but I think I'll upgrade this go round. Thought about one of those Schumacher SC2 maintainers, but if anyone knows of a better one for AGM style batteries, I'm all ears.

I have been using my Ctek7002 for years with my red tops, it will charge and then maintain it when the battery is charged.

Air filter, plugs and plug wires. The young man at the parts store insisted on calling them “ ignition wires “. OK. The car’s older than he is so...

G force's site, crossmembers.com
$289 shipped. I chose the 2nd cheapest shipping, thinking it will get here by next friday. As turna pointed out, 2337 is the mount. Oreilly's has it listed as A2337. That's where I got mine.

Took the GF to the city for "fun and shopping" stopped at the good speed shop in Edmonton and picked up the much needed fuel line fittings, in stock and super cheap too! I might do some more shopping there.

Prepare for fuel tank install update ASAP. 😀

you won't be disappointed with it.....and the 12 volt power supply is a nice option to keep the memory in your car alive during a battery change....:)

That is a nice feature but if you just use it to keep the battery in good shape, the cheap Deltran Battery Tender Jr. that is like 25 bucks works great. Been using them on the Monte and the GTO for years. Mine came with both the regular battery quick connectors and the setup to wire it onto the battery .

Is that CTEK 7002 an older model? I don't see it on the website.

You are right, it is an older model. I have have had mine for about 5 years. This 7.0 is basically the same as my 7002
