What did you do to your G-Body today?? I know there's a lot of us that do stuff to our cars on a daily basis. Lets see whos doing what. Ill start lol.

Today was a big day for my 84 cutlass. I just recently bought it. I can post pics tomorrow, but anyways. It came with 22s. I sold those today, and put on some Pontiac rally II wheels. Gonna paint them when I get a chance. I also got new studs, brake pads, tie rod end, and center link. Just random things that need to be done. Previous owner just wanted big wheels, but didn't do it the right way, oh and I am also lowering it this weekend.

Today I found a 3.73 posi out of an 88 trans am. Will that fit in my 87 buick regal limited? Im kinda new to stuff like this so any help will be gratefully appreciated

Yesterday my son and I drove the Cutlass over to Summit Racing Equipement and picked up a QA1 front coil-over kit for the Cutlass. Part # GS401-10450C. Single adjustable shocks with poly cross bar bushings and 450# springs. Today I installed them as well as some new sway bar end links..
Easy install. The car is a 1980 Olds Cutlass with a small block Chevy with iron heads and aluminum intake, no AC.
I thought 450# springs may be too stiff but now I'm considering picking up a set of 550# springs. I get some body roll on hard cornering
I spent some extra coin on the thrust bearings and really don't need them since my front end sits 1 1/2" higher than it used to. Now I'm considering drop spindles to get the car back down again.
I did have to open up the holes for the lower shock mount bolts but that only took seconds and was described in the instructions.
The ride is nice with no real noise from the shock/spring mating point. I haven't experimented with shock settings yet, I set them both to 10 clicks and it feels good. Compared to the 35 year old factory springs these ride awesome...
I was able to re-use the original upper spring insulators.
All in all I'm happy with them, in the future I want to get their rear coil-over conversion kit.

Garage sale day with the missus....last place we went is a guy cleaning out his big storage garage...walked out with a rebuilt '66 Q-jet, brand new water pump and brand new embossed copper header gaskets for $35. Too bad the gaskets are square and not oval but I was pleased none the less.
Wife got a fan, a hat box, some cookware and something else...but who cares!
