I've had my stupid rear end loose under the car and drive shaft removed ready to go to town to get blasted and coated since like freakin' October I think. Got the differential up on my creeper today so I can roll it over by the door to get it up in the truck this weekend.

If it kills me, those suckers are going to town on Monday . . .

Took apart my Saginaw 4 speed. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Gears are in great condition except a snap-ring came loose and wore down the face of the 1-2 synchronizer hubs. Ordered new synchro hubs and ordered a rebuild kit. Just need to take it to work to press off second gear.

Great when you find out it is an easy fix

Well, this one did, the trunk lid had a forklift fork hole in it, so I refused it. The box on the other hood we ordered had a matching fork hole too, but no damage to the hood. The bumpers made it unscathed.

I know, I was a bit nervous tearing into it, but it was a relief to see that the main shaft and countergear is in excellent shape. I'll post pics once I'm at home, getting BF Goodrich Sport Comp 245 45 17 all 4 corners at the moment.. Can't wait to take it to the canyon, I'll post a video of that when I do.

Looks like it survived shipping. Hallelujah.

Does anyone have a pic of what this hood looks like from the driver's vantage point? Or even the 2" cowl?

Congrats, BTW. I am sure you are stoked to get it on . . .
