After scrounging the pieces i needed to turn my Cutlass console into a Regal one, i painted and assembled it. Gotta love SEM products.

I tore apart the driver side upper and Howe ball joint, cleaned and regreased all the parts and put it back together. The Howe ball joints are great and super easy to service with a socket wrench and allen key. The Boot was torn, so I ordered new boots from Speedway, but then found a boot that fit perfectly in a box in my garage. I guess it pays to keep your broken stuff.

I found out that the front brake splash shields are interchangeable left to right but I was wrong. Everything bolts up, disks turn, calipers clamp but it looked odd. Looks better when the right splash shield is on the wright/right spindle. Look for the cutout on the lower splash shield for the lower control arm. No fun doing front brakes and bearings at 38 degrees F. and then re-doing it to swap shelds.

The Spindles are stock G-body modified for 12" brakes and reamed for Howe tall uppers that came with the SC&C phase 2 adjustable upper arms. Lowers Ball joins are proforged 1/2" taller. Sway bar is a 36mm WS6 3rd Gen. Springs are Moog 5662's cut about 1/2 coil. Shocks are Vari shock single adjustable. The LCA bushings are steel from UB machine and the urethane bumpstops were replaced with GM ZQ8 (P/N 15956547).

Steering Shaft is from borgsen and the box was just rebuilt by PSC Motorsports here in Ft Worth, TX. Wheels are 16X8 GTA Fronts or Rears either will fit and tires are 255/50's.

Put on bmr .5in lowering springs and bilstein shocks on the rear end. As advertised they dropped the car 1/2 inch. It was sitting 7.5 in the rear now it's at an even 7 across the whole car. I still need to do the 1 inch drop in the front and shocks but that's gonna be a bigger PITA.

Hard to tell with the front still using old shocks and springs but I felt that car handled a bit better and smoother than before.

Drove the heap to work today. I work in an industrial area by the Airport. The roads and tires are still a little cold at 630 am so I accidentally drifted 2 corners 🙂 Its a nice stress reliever.
